PTO/Staff Garage Sale: This Friday, October 4th from 3:30-6:30 and Saturday, October 5th from 7:00 a.m.- noon. The sale will be in the school gym. Donations to the PTO garage sale should be brought to the school on Thursday, Oct 3rd from 3:00-6:00 p.m. No live animals, furniture or large appliances will be accepted. A few staff members will have their own garage sale in the gym as well! Come and shop for bargains!!
K-6 Pumpkin Patch: Friday, October 4, 2019 Kindergarten through 6th grade students will be going to Pome on the Range in Homewood, KS. The bus will leave the school around 8:20 a.m. Please have your child wear appropriate clothing for a day at the pumpkin patch (tennis shoes, a jacket etc). All students must bring a sack lunch and drink! Our Greeley PTO will cover $4.00 entry fees for students which will include a pumpkin, an apple, a tractor tour of the range, and a sample of cider slushie. We will eat sack lunch there. Parents may attend but will need to drive their own vehicle and pay their own fees.
School Pictures: Proofs/order forms just arrived and will go home soon with your child. If you would like to order your child’s school photos, please return your completed form and payment to your child’s teacher by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11TH. If you would like to order pictures but cannot fit the cost into your budget by next week, you can always order pictures at a later date with a late-order form, available in the school office.
Picture Re-takes: Wednesday, October 9th, for students who were absent on the first picture day and for students with written parent permission. We will not re-take pictures based on your child’s request only. We need to know by Tuesday, Oct 8.
Friday, October 18 The Greeley Halloween Carnival is back by popular demand! Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. Volunteers for the first shift should plan to be there no later than 5:45 p.m. to be at their assigned booth. Students wearing Halloween costumes may participate in the 6:30 p.m. parade to receive 2 free tickets for use at the carnival. We ask that each family bring two desserts for the cake walk. Desserts can be cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, etc. and should be delivered to the school in advance of the carnival if possible.
Halloween Carnival Continued
Several booths for all ages will be set up for this fun night! Duck Pond, Grab Bag, Bucket Toss, Pop bottle ring toss, Cake Walk, Bingo, Plinko, Spin the Wheel, Pumpkin Pole Toss, Salon, PLUS, the annual Photo Booth, Concession Stand and…..missed for several years…..a HAUNTED HOUSE! It takes lots of volunteers to make this night a success so we depend on our families! Thank you in advance for your help! The work schedule will be sent home very soon!

$1.00 Halloween Raffle
The annual $1.00 raffle drawing will also be held the night of the carnival. Raffle tickets have been distributed to students in books of 10. If you sell all 10 tickets and would like more, please return the ticket stubs and money for the first book, along with a written note from parent/guardian requesting the quantity of tickets needed. This is a big fundraiser for the PTO and your support is appreciated! All unsold tickets and money need to be turned in by the morning of Monday, October 14th.
Some raffle prizes include: a Fire 7 Tablet, Child’s Bike, 32’ T.V., Autographed KU Basketball, Gift Certificates and more!
Pride Assembly- 1st Quarter Wednesday, October 16 @ 2:30 K, 1, 2 classes will give a short program; awards and student recognition will follow.
Parent/Teacher Conferences: All Schools- Thursday, October 24 4:00-8:00 p.m.
All Elementary: Tuesday, Oct 29 4:00-8:00 p.m. Forms have been sent home for parents/guardians to reserve a day & time that works best. Please complete and return the form to your child’s teacher.
Flu Vaccination Clinic: Tuesday, October 22 8:30-10:00 a.m. Consent forms will be sent home with students. Please complete forms and return them to the school office. (with payment if required) by Monday, Oct. 21. Several types of insurance can be accepted (and are listed on consent form) Un-insured or under-insured students can pay $25.00 to receive their vaccination at the school clinic. Adult, uninsured may cost $55-$80 depending on age, due at time of service.
K-6 Halloween Parade and Classroom Parties: Thursday, October 31. Parade @ 1:30 p.m. …….all-school party will follow. Parents who want to help their child with their costume should arrive at 1:15 p.m. (no earlier, please). We will walk from the school to the Greeley Co-op and back…..trick or treating businesses along the way. If you would like to help with the all-school party, please contact your child’s teacher.
