SPECIAL GUEST Wednesday, November 6 Meteorologist, Brett Anthony, from KC Channel 5 News will visit our school to talk to students about weather! (12:15 p.m.)
Greeley Veteran’s Day Celebration- Monday, November 11 @ 1:30 p.m; Greeley Gym. Veterans and their families & the community are invited to attend this special day of recognition. K-6th graders will have special performances, student essays will be read, the Wall of Honor will be displayed, veteran medals/awards/special memorabilia may be brought in, and we will have veteran recognition, and refreshments. Please look for information regarding information and photos needed for the Wall of Honor. Please wear red, white and blue! Veterans are welcome to wear their uniform. All K-6 grade students should wear red, white, and blue to school on this special day.
Library Day: The week of November 11th we will not have library on Tuesday. It will instead be held Wednesday, Nov 13th and students should bring their library book that day.
D.A.R. Junior American Citizen Contest deadline: Friday, December 6th. Packets of information regarding the contest were sent home earlier in the school year. If your child is competing, please have their submission returned to the school office by December 5, 2019.
Greeley Fall Festival and Craft Sale Saturday, November 16th 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Greeley Gymnasium Local vendors will display crafts, merchandise and food at Greeley’s first Fall Festival and Craft Sale! This is a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping and also benefit the school and local businesses. See additional flyer under November Newsletter tab.
School Thanksgiving Dinner- Wednesday, November 20th @11:15 am. Be sure to reserve your place for the annual Thanksgiving Dinner! Turkey and fixings will be served. IMPORTANT: Reservations due by Wednesday, Nov. 13th so we can let the kitchen know how many meals to plan for!!! You must cancel by the day before if you cannot attend. Two guests per family (not per student) are invited. Adult fees are $3.95 per person and should be paid at the door. Do not pay in advance. Checks and cash are accepted. Siblings may also attend and their fee is $2.80 per child. We will begin serving by 11:15 am. Due to seating availability, we need to limit the number of guests for this day, but parents and relatives are always welcome to eat lunch at school with their child throughout the school year.
Quiz Bowl 2019- Tuesday, November 26th 1:00 pm at Garnett Elementary (gym). Quiz Bowl is a scholastic opportunity for sixth graders to compete as a team against other sixth graders in the USD 365 district. Parents/family members are welcome to attend.
Thanksgiving Break- November 27-29th. Enjoy time with family and friends!
Wish List- Black, navy, red or gray sweatpants with elastic cuff at bottom. (Sizes 3T- 10). Socks, Kleenex, Anti-bacterial wipes.
Weather: Automated phone calls will be sent out to families in the event of school delay or cancellation due to inclement weather. You may also check local T.V. channels (Ch. 4, 5, 9, 41) and radio stations. Please be sure that your child wears a coat, hat, and gloves to school.
