Welcome Back! We are beginning the second semester of the 2019-20 school year. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the break and had time to rest and recharge. The second semester always flies by. We start things off with the following January activities:
January 6 School Resumes
January 8 Greeley Pride Assembly 2:30 p.m. 1st Semester/2nd Quarter Awards and Recognition. 3rd & 4th grades will give a short program.
January 9 Officer Appreciation Day. Say “thank you” to the men and women of the local police and sheriff’s departments for all they do to keep us safe each day!
January 9 Board of Education meeting. 7:00 p.m in Mrs. Hennessey’s Classroom
January 13 Greeley PTO Meeting 5:00 p.m. School lunch room. (canceled )
January 16 Greeley Spelling Bee 10:30 a.m. in the gym. Our champion and runner-up will represent our school at the Anderson County Spelling Bee on Friday, 1/24/20 in the auditorium at ACHS beginning at 1:15 p.m.
January 17 NO CLASSES. Teacher In-Service
January 20 NO SCHOOL
January 24 Anderson County Spelling Bee AC High School auditorium 1:15 p.m.
January 27-31 Kansas Week. We will be celebrating the great state of Kansas! Look for notes from classroom teachers regarding 100th Day information.
January 31 Buck Bingo Night 6:00-7:30 p.m. Enjoy an evening of bingo in the school gym. There will be lots of prizes available to win! Everything is a dollar including concession stand items. If you would like to volunteer to help with Buck Bingo Night, please call the school office at 785-867-3460 or Anna Miller at 785-448-8305.
Upcoming: Parent/Teacher conferences for Preschool through sixth grades will be February 6th and February 11th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. both days. Scheduling options will go home soon in backpacks!
Other News: Yearbook order forms will be sent home during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Our book will contain 20 pages of full color photos. The yearbook will cost $17.00 each. Payment can be made by personal check (payable to Greeley PTO) or in cash if exact amount is sent.
Cold weather is here! Please have your child dressed appropriately for the cold temperatures and wind chill. Also, in the event of bad weather, school cancellations will be announced on major t.v. and radio stations in Kansas City, Topeka and Ottawa. USD #365 School Reach also sends out automatic phone calls to families who have provided a working phone number.
