Hello,

My name is Lori Rockers and I am the School Secretary at Greeley Elementary.  I was hired in June 2008 and I can't believe I'm already beginning my 13th year at Greeley!

I was born on January 23^rd and grew up in Clear Lake, Iowa.  My father (who passed away in October 2010) was an Optometrist and my mom was his bookkeeper.  My mom now works for a Veterinarian in Clear Lake.  I am a middle child and have two sisters.  After high school I attended Iowa State University and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business.  I majored in Marketing.

After graduating from ISU I took my first “real” job in Lawrence, KS.  That is where I met my husband, Doug Rockers.  We were married on June 2, 1990 and have two wonderful children- Bailey and Brady.

When I’m not at school I am usually attending one of my children’s sporting events.  My other hobbies include photography, gardening, being at the lake, and weather watching.  (I’m a certified weather spotter for Anderson County).  I love animals of all kinds, but especially cats.    

My goal in working in the office at Greeley Elementary School is to be the friendly voice parents hear on the phone and the smiling face they see when they enter the building.  Each day I strive to promote the wonderful school that we have.  I believe all children should feel important and loved.  I look forward to working many years with the team we have at Greeley.
