Veterans Day Celebration:   Wednesday, Nov. 11th   We will have our annual Wall of Fame.  If you would like to honor someone you know that has served or is serving our country, please forward their name and a copy of their photo if possible.  Wall of Fame forms went home with each child but extras are available.  Please send this info prior to Nov. 11th.    A Link

 

Students (and staff) are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue on Nov. 11th   Students will be given the opportunity to write an essay honoring our veterans.  The top two essays will be read during our ceremony. 

 

We regret that, due to Covid-19, we cannot allow any visitors to attend this important celebration.  Look for a link on-line.

 

D.A.R. Junior American Citizen Contest:  The deadline for submitting entries is Friday, Dec. 4th.

Packets of information were sent home in September.  If your child is competing, please have their submission returned to the school office by December 3, 2020. 

 

School Thanksgiving Dinner-   Wednesday, November 18th.   Students will be served the traditional “Thanksgiving Feast” of turkey and all the fixings. 

We regret that we cannot invite any family members to attend this year. 

 

Quiz Bowl 2020-   Cancelled.  We are looking into re-scheduling in the spring.

Thanksgiving Break-   November 25-27th   This year, more than ever, give thanks for all that we have!  We made it through a full quarter of the school year, our school district has been vigilant about keeping children and staff safe at school, children are enjoying free breakfast and lunch each day, we have excellent technology for learning and communicating, we have dedicated staff at Greeley who want the best for our school and your children.   These are just a few things to be thankful for.  Enjoy your time with family and friends!

 

Looking Ahead:   The theme for this year’s Jump Rope for Heart is “Working to Make a Change” There will be no door to door collecting for donations.  Only coins will be accepted at school and other donations must be made on-line.   Fundraising will take place from December through February 14, 2021.

Winter Program:  December 8th.   In-school performance only.  We hope to record it for family to view on-line. 

 

Wish List:   We are always in need of:  70% or higher alcohol wipes, sweat pants of all sizes that have elastic cuffs.  Navy, black, red, or gray.  (2T-size 10), socks, gently used tennis shoes of all sizes.    

 

Please be sure your child always has a mask and water bottle for school! 

 

Inclement Weather:  School cancellations or delays will be announced via district automated phone calls, facebook posts on the USD 365 page, and local T.V./radio stations.
